Resources for Understanding Systemic Racism

Race and Racism are complex issues that continue to face the United States. It is an ongoing and evolving conversation.  This page is meant to be a resource for people seeking more information. None of the books, movies, websites, or other information that is listed is intended to be the “go to” for information. As a congregation, Southminster is working to engage in conversations around race and racial disparity.  There is history to learn and voices to be heard in the midst of these conversations.

As people of faith, we know that Jesus walked with those on the margins and cared for the most vulnerable of people. We too are called to walk with those who are and have been oppressed and to work for a more just and equitable future.  The resources below are a sample of what can be found.
