Southminster Presbyterian Church is involved in our community and in the world. We are grateful for our professional staff and their leadership. Mission, building upkeep, personnel, and programs require funding which happens through contributions from our members and friends. As you are able, we invite you to give to Southminster. Pledges and donations may be given online through our app software or may be mailed into the church office or brought to worship on Sunday mornings.
2023 Annual Stewardship Campaign
“For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope.”
– Jeremiah 29:11
The leadership of Southminster continues to look for ways to engage the membership and create an atmosphere of vitality and inclusion. We are grateful for the steady and faithful support of the congregation through a global pandemic and now as we enter into a liminal time as we search for a Transitional Pastor and then a new called and Installed Head of Staff.
We are reminded that giving of resources is a spiritual discipline. Whether the resources are time, talents, or finances, God has given us all good things and we trust in the promise made to the Israelites in exile in Jeremiah that God has a plan for our future and it is one filled with hope!

One Great Hour of Sharing
February 22-April 9, 2023
For over 70 years, One Great Hour of Sharing has provided us with a way to share God’s love with our neighbors in need around the world.
Restoring Hope, Feeding the Hungry, Empowering the Oppressed
Typically received during the season of Lent, each gift to One Great Hour of Sharing supports efforts to relieve hunger through the Presbyterian Hunger Program, promote development through the Presbyterian Committee on the Self-Development of People, and assist in areas of disaster through Presbyterian Disaster Assistance.
Click the red “GIVE” button above to donate online (select One Great Hour of Sharing Offering), or mail or bring your check to the church office (note “OGHS” in the memo line). Thank you!
Endowment
The Southminster Presbyterian Church Endowment is an important part of our funding for mission. The Endowment allows us to take advantage of ministry and mission opportunities that are not included in our regular budget. Some of the components of our Endowment are designated—Music, Mission, Christian Education, and Church Facilities. The largest component of the Endowment is the General Endowment which does not have a specific designation, giving flexibility to finance special opportunities in mission that may arise. Thanks to the prudent oversight of our Endowment Committee, the Endowment Fund continues to grow.
The Southminster Legacy Society has been established to honor the act of giving to God and assuring the future of our ministry to people in Christ’s name. It provides an opportunity to commend and graciously thank those who have made a financial commitment in their estate plan for our church. Several members have since joined the Legacy Society and have participated in both educational and social opportunities as a result. Anyone can become a member of the Legacy Society by notifying Southminster that you have included the church in your will or estate plan.
