Southminster Presbyterian Church is a member of the Presbyterian Church (USA) and the Heartland Presbytery. We welcome all people, those raised Presbyterian and those new to the denomination, to participate in our faith community.
Southminster has a long history of inclusion and support of the LGBTQ community in our church and in the world. We are members of More Light Presbyterians and the Covenant Network of Presbyterians, two organizations which work for justice for LGBTQ+ people in the church.
At all times and all places, Southminster seeks to respond to the world’s challenges with grace, love, and justice. We are a part of the Matthew 25 Initiative which encourages and challenges us to pursue opportunities that will develop vital congregations, eradicate systemic poverty, and dismantle structural racism.
